Heirloom baptism gown

Recommended Posts

Hi Girls,

I made this baptism dress last spring when I found out we were expecting... thank goodness it turned out to be a girl and we could enjoy the dress.

It turned out wonderful and is my absolute favorite project to date!

Thanks for looking!

Very Beautiful, something she can treasure, and pass down to her children.

I can see how it is your favorite, it's just beautiful! As an expectant mother, I have to ask where the pattern came from?

Sheila, that is beautiful!!!!

That made me think of the outfit my oldest was baptised in......all white, one peice shirt/shorts with very small tuxedo-type ruffles on the shirt....... We were able to pass it down to two cousins, and we have pictures of all 3 boys in the outfit. The last two boys couldn't wear it because one was a preemie and it was way too big.....the last boy (my youngest) came out too big to wear the outfit!!

Your gown is beautiful! My favorite project was also a christening gown for my granddaughter.

That is really beautiful. Just today I saw a christening gown in our LYS (not as pretty as yours) and they were charging £69.99 which is approx $140. So WOW and well done to you.
