peter pan coat and beret

Recommended Posts

I wanted to practice trying to follow british instructions so I made this little coat and beret. I did pretty well translating it to american terms except I couldnt figure out how to do the ruffles around the top of the coat. If anyone has done this pattern please help if not I think it turned out ok anyway:)

Kudos! You did a wonderful job.

I sometimes have trouble following British instructions. I tend to revert to American, so often I will make a copy of the pattern and just make the changes on the page.

Really, very nice!

Which pattern is it and where? I'm "bilingual" in crochet terms, having grown up and learned to crochet in England and now lived in Canada many years. Zaraliz

I got the leaflet from ebay. the pattern is from peterpan book number 290 crochet and double knitting. I also saw the book on crochet-knit.com. Thank you for your nice comment

That is a beautiful outfit. I love the hat. I'd love to see a picture of the baby wearing it.

I haven't been brave enough yet to try a British pattern. They look wonderful!
