Oh I need to get back to work on this!! My dad has been visiting so I have gotten almost nothing done on it for basically 5 days now!! :U He left this morning and dh is out of town so I will probably be working like a fiend on it tonight (never sleep well when dh is gone ...).

Hope you feel better soon Tricia!!

I've decided to work on my daughter's rippled coat I promised her for her birthday which is tomorrow. I'm designing it as I go and I don't have a pic but I can tell you I'm using RH SS in Farmland, doubled, using graduated sizes in hooks from K to P. It's gonna have a shawl collar & cuffs in Chocolate & copper(mixed) fun fur and one button up by the collar when I'm done. She also has a clip-on silk mum to put on it. Oh and she's a size 6-7 in girls. I think it will fit a 6-8 when I'm done. I have the midriff done now and will add the rest of the bottom part tonite, will be knee length when finished.

think i've decided to scrap tose socks - i'm just not "into" them.

make sense? i'm the type that i have to be enthusiastic about my project or i kinda dread working on it. i just wasn't feeling it with those socks :shrug

anyhow, i have a slew of yarn that i am wanting to make a blanket out of, so think i'll do a ripple.:P

Thanks guys!! I'm really excited about this design also. If it turns out to be half as pretty and popular as Chelle's patterns then I'll be thrilled. And yeah, Rebecca I know that your daughter is about the same size as mine!!:wink And it will definately be available for sale when I'm through. Just let me get 4 half-done quick projects done then I'll be able to bulldoze right through it!!

note: i'll probably make it in a size 2-4 as well afterwards.

I'm getting so close to done ... only 3-4 more hours on the main part of it, then the edging - only I'm not sure what to do for the edging. Any suggestions?? Is a single crochet border probably my best bet? One side kinda folds down nicely, but the opposite side curls the opposite direction (up!), so I need to do something to fix that. Some kind of border seems the simplest option for that, lol. I've got a pic on my blog (crocheting cook, below) if you want to see what's done now.

Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in crochet help; since this is the ripple along, I thought I'd start here.

Really pretty Vims, It is the first time I see a round one... you are giving me ideas...

Here is my work in progress. After changing my mind so many times, I came back to my initial baby blanket pattern. I will stick to it this time. It is just that stupid yarn is driving me crazy!, It is only my first stripe... I need to do 6 like that.

Yesterday, I had a doc's appointment and a lady in the waiting room asked me if I liked the yarn, NO! but I bought it, I want to use it. She did a sweater with it and did not like her experience too.

Oh, I enjoyed looking at everyone's project! Wonderful job one and all! I had finished my daughter's ripple afghan (www.angelfire.com/magic/b...ghan2.jpg) and am taking a break making a basketweave stitch scarf, but then I'm back to rippling, LOL! My son picked out his colors (thankfully no lime) and keeps making comments about it so I'll need to get to it soon.
