Ripple Along

here's some photos of my ripple ghan....they aren't very good, my digicam batteries are gone...and even if they were'nt its dark out so i couldn't take a photo if i wanted to LOL I'm using RHSS in camo varigated, and in Black. Has anyone else experienced RH solids being thicker weight than the "same weight" varigated, or have I just stumbled upon a thick skien? There is a photo of hubby in the door way trying to show how long the blanket is going to be...BUT with my webcam I couldn't get the shot...i'm 5ft 2 and it comes up to my neck while touching the floor, so its a bit larger than "crib" length.

The bottom picture is of my younger 2 kidlets (tahra and eddie) posing in their matching camo outfits (i'm not the one into camo...i don't own camo unless you count yarn) My older son is at his dads, but they didn't have the outfit in his size (or his aunt kathy would have bought him one too i'm sure LOL) To view the photos in their original size, click on them! ok enough from me!! :blah

All your projects are looking very nice! I am going to start later this evening. Its 5:30 pm here Friday evening and I decided to do a ripple shawl for my music teacher who will be visiting her daughter in the US during Spring:)

WOW! I think everyone's projects are coming along really nicely!

Mine is driving me crazy....there is a row (that emerald green color) that is just slip stitched and then the next row calls for you to go into the back loop of the previous row before the slip stitch. It's HARD to get in that spot and my hands are flat out killing me. This will really be a labor of love - but I think it's too pretty to stop....

Great Job everyone!

Crazy. I can understand crazy !

I started my <a href="http://thesmartyarns.com/patterns/march03/babyripple.html" target="_new">baby cover</a>. The yarn is driving me crazy,<img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/TearHair.gif" /> it is <a href="http://www.bernat.com/product.php?LGC=lulu&SPP=999" target="_new">Bernat LULU</a> in Snowball and Busy blues. I can't see my stitches... I have to "feel" it. The first row is the worst the following ones are easier... a new skill to acquire needs patience; crochet with closed eyes!?! I will have to do it a few times since I have to work 6 to 8 strips.

But it will be so pretty is is worth going crazy, I am with you on that Mitzi, your looks lovely.

Mitzi,

I was just thinking, since you only have that row in green slip stiches, why don't you just do it after the row of back loops?

It seams possible in theory, I am not sure for the practice... Let me know

Good luck

Talk about behind! I haven't even started yet :blush I finally got the kiddo to settle on his yarn colors though, then told him that's it, no more changes lol. I'm going to try to start on it this weekend. :fc

I didn't want to jump the gun and start revealing anything before everyone else. I know it's going to take those that are doing afghans much longer than those of us doing socks. I've completed one whole sock (need to weave in the ends) and need to start the other. Unfortunately, I'm the type that once I feel I've "mastered" a pattern, I'm ready to take on the next challenge. I'm going to have to MAKE myself finish that second sock (LOL).

It wasn't that hard to do, but I did have to frog once.

I will try to take a picture of the one sock this weekend and post it here. :juggle

we finally got a digital camera <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/photos.gif" /> this weekend. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/clap.gif" /> <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/dance.gif" /> As I was taking a picture of what I have done so far of my ripple baby cover, I realized that must have made a mistake because one side is not straight.

<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/frog1.gif" /><img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/frog1.gif" /><img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/frog1.gif" />

I will have to start all over
