Lanette, your squares are really pretty! Drop Chelle a line and have her tell you how she joins her squares, I'll bet that kind of joining would look really nice for your poncho. :)h

Lanette - pretty colors on the squares! No idea on a decorative stitch though. Sorry.

Julie - your doilie looks wonderful! Congrats on getting it to work out. :)

I'm on the last row of my doilie, I hope to finish it tonight and then post a photo of it either tonight or tomorrow.

I am sorry if you posted and I was not paying attention but where did you get the pattern? Was it from a book?</span>

I just finished my Doilie #18 from the 99 Little Doilies book my Mom gave me for Christmas.

It still needs to be blocked, but it's done! :clap I like it a lot. I'll wait to block it when I finish the next one, Doilie #4.

Sign me up! I just bought some Lavender and Mint colored thread and am going to be making a set of doilies for my mother for her birthday, which is March 27th.

I do need to find a pattern to settle on. Can't decide if I want them to be identical or just make 2 different ones out of the same colors. Or I could just make like one of those table toppers for her. She does have some of those round decorative tables. I know she plans on making herself a Christmas one, so I could provide her with a nice Easter/Springtime one =)

Anywho...will post pics once I get started.

Thank you Stefani! :hee I know you've been to my blog but I should have posted the link to the pattern and I forgot, I'm so sorry! The doily I made is the Passion Flower doily.

Anna, your doily is beautiful!!

Thank you Vims! :thumbsup

I finished the doily I was making for this and while I was blocking it, decided to make a bookmark for an exchange I'm doing too!!!! Here they are. The doily is done in a deep red and was supposed to have white picot edging on it. I thought it looked more elegant without it so I left it off. It's also supposed to be more heart shaped, oh well!! I got the pattern out of a book of Heart doilies. The Bookmark is called "Trellis" and is from the Dozen and One Bookmarks book. I love that book BTW.

Julie I really like the doily you made ..... put it in my to do list :))

Tablecloth update:

My son told me Mom just make all 4 of the tablecloth's then we can change them all the time LOL I told Yumi (future dl) to pick out her favorite one since my son is being no help about it, she would like me to make this one

www.angelfire.com/folk/ce...ngton.html

BTW that was Christopher's first pick when I sent them the long list of tablecloth's ..... I'll be getting all of the thread for it next paycheck then start working on the blocks

Yumi wants me to teach her how to crochet when she's here this summer ..... it will be alot of hands on teaching since she only speaks a little bit of English and I only know a few Japanese words ( she is taking English classes and will be done in June :cheer2 )

I'm up to the 14th rnd of my doily :sun

here is the main part of my bear's head... still needs stuffing

DSC01555.jpg

this is handspun... so i don't know the exact size of the "thread". i've compared it and it is just about the same size as pearl cotton. i'm using a steel 4 hook to make him... think i'll name him speckles.... what do you think.

i know, hard to give a ball a name :hee

which will be my next bear :)h the whole time i was spinning it was saying to me "i'm cami, your next bear" :yes

although it looks big.... it's also about the same as the pearl cotton

Everyone's projects look gorgeous!

I haven't gotten so much done lately since I've had a cold--all I want to do after work is sleep. I'm think I'm getting better now, though (I can almost breathe through my nose today! yay!) and I'm hoping to spend some time on my bookmark tonight :bounce

I'm two days into my first big doily. I'm very thankful the pattern said it might ruffle, because might is an understatement in this case. I'm praying they are right when they say blocking will fix it, but I'm probably a week away from finishing it so this is going to be slow torture for me.

Julie -

the same thing happened to me before. :ohdear I couldn't go on looking at my ruffling doily which was supposed to be flat so I had to frog mine. I think blocking might fixed it, but I just couldn't stand it. :irked

By the way, I have another doily posted on my blog.:))
