Anyone have a felted flower pattern?

I found one on the Lion Brand site, but am not thrilled with the look of it. I would love to add one or two flowers to felted purses, but so far have only found the one pattern.

you can felt any pattern as long as you do it in wool. I have crocheted many flower patterns and felted them. Just remember that it will shrink alot.

I wondered about using regular patterns, but had never tried it. I guess I'm just too cheap to experiment.

There is nothing special in the patterns for felted projects except that they are crocheted looser (bigger hook) to allow room for the fibers to shrink and meld.

 

I can take any of my patterns and do them on a smaller hook with any WW yarn and have an acceptable looking item.

 

THe first flower I felted was a rose.

I did the Large pattern with a K hook and it turned out beautiful.

 

I have also done the small pattern to add as decorative trim on some pieces.

Thanks for the link Angie. I have a very similar pattern from Lion Brand that is crocheted from Homespun yarn. I'll try adapting it to wool and felting it.

 

I don't know why I didn't think of that. As they say-----duh!! LOL
