8-inch square pattern suggestions?

So, I got a skein of "the nicest, softest yarn I could afford" for VT comfortghans and crocheted up an 8-inch square (LOVE the "Circle of Friends" square). But it used up more than half of the skein, and now I think I could maybe make a knitted square with the rest.

 

What are your favorite 8-inch knitted square patterns? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
