:jumpyay:woo I finally finished everyone! RoseRed's beautiful pattern! This one is of my 4 yr old daughter's blanket. She chose mint blue, and limelight by Caron. The flowers were also by Caron called Mango. I thought the flowers would "girly" it up alittle. I made 7 panels instead of 5 that the pattern called for. This fits a double bed and even drapes on each side. She calls it her Scooby -Doo blanket. I guess it does resemble the 70's retro look and is in fact Scooby colors! This is my fave thing I have made to date!:yay

This one is the first one I did. It is for my 9 year old son. He chose RH black and blue. I also did his with 7 panels instead of 5. This pattern is so great! I steal theirs for my bed all the time! I guess I'll have to make my own!

Both ghans are great. :cheer I love the flower additions and the Blue/Black is striking. I am doing a Black/Orange and it is such a fun, quick pattern to do.

Thank you everyone so much! I cherish each and every one of your comments! The flannelghan/lumberjack pattern was designed by our very own RoseRed. The pattern is here

As for the flowers, I got them from the flower power bedspread at Bernat. I hope this link works.

I actually screwed up on the pattern. I made my petals too close together so I ended up with 6 instead of 5. My DD liked the 6 better anyway. So that is why I continued with it. Thank you all so much for the great comments! I am going to make more of these for sure! Thanks SO MUCH Rose!!!!:ghug

Hi Again - Thanks for giving us the links & telling us which flower pattern you used - did you sew each flower onto each sq.?? Or crochet it in as part of the sq.?? From the pattern you provided from Bernat, looks like you must've sewn each flower on?? Thanks AGAIN for the help!

Louise, Hi there. Yes, I did use 2 strands of yarn on both of the blankets. They are quite heavy! I had to use more stitches in the "Scooby" one because the caron yarn works up smaller then Red Heart. I wanted them to be the same size.

As for the flowers, I did have to sew them on! That was a process!!!! I just hate sewing things on! That almost took me longer then making the blanket! Well, mostly because I only sewed 1 on per night. Sometimes I'd get ambitious and do 2! lol The end result was worth it though! My DD wanted to take it to pre-school with her! I told her it was way to big to do that and she'd have to settle for a picture! lol

Hi Jenni ---- THANKS BUNCHES for the additional info. & for not minding all the ?? I had =). I'm not a big fan of sewing things on either, which is why I just had to ask! But in your case, it sure was well worth the time & effort spent - you did a spectacular job! How cute that you DD wanted to take it to pre-school w/her too - I don't blame her =).
