El Amor Brujo Fingerless Glove

These are meant to look like a flamenco dress translated into a fingerless glove. They’re black and have a long cuff with three tiers of flame-orange ruffles. They are low on the fingers.

Size I hook

Approx. 4 oz Red Heart Super Saver Black (or other solid)

Approx. 3 oz Orange worsted weight yarn (or contrasting color)

with Black, ch 25, join to make ring.

Rnd 1: ch 1, sc in ea ch around, join.

Rnds 2-4: ch 1, sc in ea st around, join.

Rnd 5: ch 1, sc in 1st st, ch 8, sk 5 sts, sc in next st, sc around, join.

Rnd 6: ch 1, sc around, making 8 sc over chs.

Rnds 7-9: rep rnd 2.

Rnd 10: ch 1, *sc in next 5 sts, dec over next 2 sts* around.

Rnds 11-13: rep rnd 2.

Rnd 14: ch 1, sc in BLO around, join.

Rnds 15-19: rep rnd 2.

Rnd 20: Rep rnd 15.

Rnds 21-14: rep rnd 2. FO

Rnd 25: attach Orange in join, ch 3, 1 dc in same st, 2 dc in ea st around, join.

Rnds 26-27: ch 3, dc around, join. FO

Attach Orange in any FL of the 2nd BLO row, ch 3, 1 dc in same st, 2 dc in ea FL around, join.

Next 2 rows: ch 3, dc around, join. Fasten off after 2nd row.

Rep for other ridge.

 

 

I'm giving up on Appalachian Spring for a while, so next I am going to do 2 or 3 Nutcracker patterns. Clara, the Sugarplum Fairy, and maybe Waltz of the Flowers. After that, I am going to do a regular fingie with a ballet-shoe applique (at least I'm going to try LOL). :hook
