Tripod the Bunny -- Now with Pattern! Testers welcomed!

Okay... this is my very first post on this forum, and even though I've lurked for AGES, I'm still not 100% sure if I'm putting this in the right place.

Tripod is my original pattern. I've had the idea in my mind for a while after reading lots of patterns but not really seeing the rabbit I wanted, and though I had never just crocheted from my own imagination (other than with scarves, and then it was usually just a rectangle in whatever stitch was intriguing at the time), I seem to have been fairly successful. :D

Anyway, I've NEVER taken a stab at writing up my own original pattern, but I suppose I could give it a go if anybody really enjoys Tripod and wants one of their own. For now, here are pictures. Tell me what you think! And if this is in the wrong forum, let me know, or move it, or... however things work. ;)

Two more, but they're all pretty big, so I'll just link to 'em.

Edit: Here's a link to the pattern, in post 13.

That is a very cute bunny! I would really encourage you to try writing up the pattern, it's not as hard as you might think and I'm sure half a dozen people will pounce on it if you do. (Did I mention it's a cute bunny?) :rabbit

Okay. Giving the pattern a go. I'm definitely going to need testers, because I wasn't paying attention AT ALL when I made the head/body; I just kinda... winged it. And I sure didn't write it down, so I'm doing it from memory/visually counting stitches as best I can.

PLEASE PLEASE, do give me pointers once I write the pattern up. I've never written a pattern before, and I'm trying to make it as clear as I can, but I'm sure there will be questions. Anything I can do to make it better, let me know.

Assembly Instructions

Ears: Position on head, use tail to sew on

Eyes: Position on head, use post eyes or embroider to fasten

Muzzle: Embroider on mouth and nose, use tail to sew on. Halfway through sewing, stuff muzzle, then finish sewing

Arms: Position on body, use tail to sew on

Legs: Position on body with hdc portion on bottom for extra balancing support, use tail to sew on

Tail: Position on body, use tail to sew on

Have at it! Let me know if there are any problems with the pattern. I know the decreases through the lower body portion are a bit screwy, but I wasn't following any pattern when I did it; I just sort of inc/dec where ever I thought it needed it. Hopefully this works!

Here's an image after I got the post eyes. It took me FOUR different stores in two days to finally find these dang things! But they're worth it. :lol

He's officially finished! I'm really curious to see other peoples' versions, so if anybody's testing the pattern, please let me know.

He's truly adorable! Did you use anything to make the ears stand out, like wire or some topical application?

Nope, I just tend to make my stitches "so tight they squeak," as my mom says. They sort of become posable if you tend to work as tight as I do. It would be easy to wrap a bit of craft wire through the ends to make them stand up if you choose, but I wouldn't recommend that if you were giving it to a child (obviously!). ;)

KushKush, they're not quite buttons. Craft stores (as I've learned, precious FEW craft stores) sell these little plastic eyes with posts on them for making toys. Here's a link so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about. They're very inexpensive.
