Help me choose a colour

Recommended Posts

I bought a ball of faux fur in the green, red and purple print. I want to make a scarf with it, but I'd prefer to work it with a strand of something else. I'm having trouble matching any of the colours closely enough. Maybe an altogether different colour would be better. Any suggestions?

How about a variegated ribbon yarn? Maybe one that picks up just one or two of the colors in your fur yarn. I just finished my scarf pattern for crochet me with a blue/white variegated furry yarn and a blues/purples variegated ribbon yarn. The two worked very well together. My LYS helped me pick out the combination.

Here is a photo of the two yarns I used. Photos of the scarf will be on crochet me, probably this week.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up getting a dark charcoal grey, which seemed to be about the right intensity to go with the other shades. Black was just too black.

I think your choice of the grey is a good one. Boy do I hate working with Black yarn will always try to get out of making something with it if I can Because you can't see it the stitches and all But somepeople want whatever made in Black I just cringe........I love colors bright ones

Hi crochetcrazy

The only pink version I've seen is the pink/green/mauve version. It's a bit more expensive but I only needed two balls to make a smallish scarf.
