okay, to show the size difference of real homespun and this other cone:

 

on Lionbrand Homespun there is 185 yrds of yarn per 6oz skein. meaning around 31 yards per ounce, so, around 495 yards per pound.

 

his details have this yarn listed as 1800 yards per pound - WAY less than actually homespun.... meaning it's much much thinner.

 

i guess what he is trying to mean by calling it "homespun", is that it is a 'novelty' type yarn... with texture, not solid like worsted.

homespun is a term used for yarns that have that little yarn wrapped around them to keep the fibers toghether.. the thing you have to always remember with ebay is to look at the description and size closely.. and if you have any questions ask.. because you can be a little surprised when you get your stuff if you think its something other than what it is ..
