I use Lyn's RR pattern when I make the afghan so this is a variation of her pattern - with a split! I made a second one (for my Mom) and wrote the pattern down as I went along this time. All you seaso

Its beautiful!!! Well done I think I would keep it too! ;-)

Diane was our waitress at Denny's for a couple of years, became friends and now she is gonna be a grandma again. Her youngest is having a boy. On Sunday she wa 3cm dialated. Any time now if it hasn't happened yet. I usually only see Diane on Sunday's so I will probably not get to give it to her until this Sunday.

This is my "Stadium RR." The first picture was taken a couple of days ago; the second was this afternoon. I finished the next white row, and plan on adding another navy section (6 rows), and then I will "try it on" again, and add more if it needs to be larger. It is the same RR, just that the lighting was a little different. Hard to imagine having this over my shoulders watching a football game in the cold clammy fall, when it was in the 70's today. The third picture is my youngest, AKA FootballSon, so you could all see why I chose these colors...to match his football uniform!

Thanks to you all for your kind words!

To LaurieE: Funny you should mention the Gators. The U of F athletic director graduated from the school my son plays football at. He was also a benefactor there, donating, with 2 fellow grads, a workout facility for varsity athetes. Isn't it nice that some people can succeed in life but don't forget where they came from?

but its not big enough. its only 26 inches from point to point. and it is double stranded! my original intent was to make this for a baby but its too small so i thought i could make it a lap ghan for my grandmother but i don;t know how to make it bigger. well i know how to but not color wise. does anyone have any suggestions?

i think i will make another one single stranded for the baby and double up on my rows though.

thanks

kris

I see 3 possibilities:

1. repeat your color sequence again

2. reverse your color sequence

3. use just the purple

Hi Guys,

It's finally done and I love it!:manyheart Had some problems with the shape and had to block it. I read two suggestions - larger hook and change the v-st to one roll instead of two at a time. My middle buckled. Any other advice before I start my new one.

Pam

PS I was playing with scrape yarn before starting this one and it didn't buckle - both were red heart but the yard in the photo seem thicker.

I love it!! it's beautiful.

I use rh yarn and a H hook and mine all lay nice and flat but i crochet kinda loose too. mine measure about 64 inches point to point. So try one size bigger hook and see what happens. :)
