Lulu anyone?

My sister was crocheting a baby afghan with Bernat Lulu. It looks pretty bad, kind of scruffy looking. Has anyone else crocheted with Lulu before? What were the results? It seemed like a total waste, yet the yarn looks so pretty on the ball.

Have never used it. I've often bought "cool" looking yarn and it's awful used alone. Maybe she could try combining with a worsted weight yarn that goes with the color(s) and see how it looks?

I just bought a baby blanket off of ebay that was made with Bernet LuLu. I also got enough yarn to finish it. Let me see if I can find the link to the picture. (I really like it. It's pretty and oh so soft!)
