Woolease

I have a pattern that calls for Woolease, but I don't have any. What can I substitute it with? What is the weight/thickness of Woolease?

Wool Ease is a worsted weight yarn, so you could substitute another worsted weight. But be careful though, some WW, like Red Heart Super Saver, is a little bulkier than Wool Ease. Because you're substituting, gauge will be really important.

 

I happen to have some Caron Simply Soft and Wool Ease out on my desk right now and they look similar in thickness, so it might be worth trying. )

Yeah, I agree that Simply Soft and Wool-Ease are... a little thinner... than normal Worsted. You're going to get a different texture and weight with Simply Soft (it seems "heavy" to me), but it's probably the closest you're going to get, gauge-wise.
