Yeah, after a couple of trips in the washing maching that RH Super Saver is just as soft as anything else. After I "discovered" that I decided that little extra bit of effort was totally worth it before I send anything out. :bounce

I prefer Caron, but Red Heart SS does tend to soften up in the wash. I have a brand new black RHSS poncho sitting in my laundry pile waiting to be washed so I can wear it over the holidays (my mom's house is a meat locker!!! ).

 

I have a "Dr. Who" scarf I made for my husband, and to get the colors as close as possible, I used a LOT of different yarn brands all together... Wool Ease, RHSS, RH TLC, Caron pounder, Caron Simply Soft... etc. Now that it's been washed, I can barely tell the difference between any of them. I can't recall if the cornmeal color I used was TLC or SS... but it feels pretty much the same as the khaki Caron Pounder I used...
