Dry Wool

I have some real wool I bought at a garage sale a while ago. It seems very dry, as if it had been stored in an attic or something.

 

Is there a good way to revitalize it? I wound one skein into a ball and lots of...fiber dust I guess I'd call it..fell off. I was able to work with it, made a small bag that I fulled, but wanted to know if there was something I could do before using it to perk it up.

Hmmm.maybe you could try keeping it in the bathroom when you have a shower so it is a more humid environment. Otherwise I am not sure. I hate wasting so I would be like you and want to find a way to make it feel better.

I think I'm going to try gently dunking it in water with some hair conditioner dissolved in it. Seems logical to me, but who knows!!!

that seems like a very good idea holly.. i was thinking that hair has oils that might need replenished..just couldnt work out how to make it happen
