Pattern/Stitch - my version of popcorn stitch

I don't know if this should be posted here, since it's more of a stitch than a pattern, but I didn't know where else to post it. I made this up because I like popcorn stitch, but I don't like dropping the yarn from the hook to close the popcorn. I'm not very creative, so someone else has probably used this before, but I couldn't find it anywhere online or in any printed patterns I've seen, so I thought I would post it.

This is a reversible pattern and is very heavily textured.

Aligned Popcorn Stitch (RS/WS) Multiple of 4 +2

Row 1: (2dc, sc) in 2nd chain from hook, *skip 3 stitches, (sc, 2dc, sc) in next stitch {first popcorn made}, repeat from * until end of row, turn.

Row 2: Ch2. *Popcorn in first (leftmost) sc of previous row’s popcorn, repeat from * until you reach last popcorn. Sc in last popcorn. Turn.

Row 3: Ch1. Popcorn in Sc under turning chain. *Popcorn in first (leftmost) sc of previous row’s popcorn, repeat from * for all popcorns in previous row.

Repeat rows 2 & 3 for pattern until desired length.

If anyone has a problem with the pattern or suggested corrections, please let me know. Or, if you think it's any good, let me know. :)

Here are the pics.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I'm planning on doing a rainbow afghan in that stitch. So easy to do and works up quick with WW yarn. :) And I'm all for quick and easy.
