I think it looks good! It looks like a bookmark pattern i tried when I was using baby yarn to learn on, and honestly, if it's the free heart one I used, I hated the way it turned out.

What I mean is, maybe you should try another one, a different pattern? Maybe you'll have different results.

Here's one I am doing now: Red, white and blue mile-a-minute bookmark. I love it (the pattern, not thread yet)!

I'm gonna try a thread bookmark... one of these days.

Looks good, Rebecca! :fluffy You won't be seeing a picture of my first thread bookmark, so you're much braver than I am. ;)

Your doing a great job! :clap AAHHHH a tablecloth what a huge task that seems to be. My mom did it once, I can't seem to make anything real big! :frog Maybe someday when I learn patience :ha

I've made a couple tablecloths and a bedspread, and I can't count how many doilies. My mother always crocheted with thread until she got on in years, and then she made multitudes of potholders and afghans, so when I started to crochet, it just seemed natural to use thread. I taught my roommate in college to crochet and she had an awful time with yarn and a medium size hook, but with thread she just flew.

Don't be afraid of it, it's just crochet. But those little hooks can be killers on your fingers. :))

The first tablecloth I made was a series of motifs that you joined as you went. So it didn't seem such a huge task - one little 4 inch square - done! then another little square, joined to the first at the corners, done! and after a while there were a whole bunch of squares and it started to look like a tablecloth. But it wasn't like setting out to do something that had hundreds of rounds (although I've since done that type of tablecloth).

Try one with little motifs and if you get bored, you have a table runner, or a dresser scarf, or a fancy scarf for yourself. :))
