crochet that looks like knitting

I once learned a crochet stitch that looked like knit. Of course now I cant remember how to do it and I cant find instructions on how to do it. Can anyone help me?

Perhaps tunisian stitch? It produces a thinner more drapey type of crochet work. It's worked by putting a lot of stitches onto the hook and then working them back off.

Yes - there is a tunisian "knit" and tunisian "perl" that look JUST like knitting!

There's also a sc stitch that is supposed to look like the knit stitch. Supposed to ...

 

Instead of crocheting under the two bars at the top, insert your hook between the two vertical bars of the stitch. It takes a few rows before you can see the desired result.

I've crocheted sweaters for my boys that look just like knit and the pattern called for crocheting around the posts (either on the front side or back side) with mostly dc stitches. I fooled most of the women at the office went I took it into work - they all thought that I had knitted it.

Hey my 12 yr old does that but it isnt a learned stitch its just how her crochet looks lol
