Grrrreat!! Since I don't have a scale to weigh my crochet afghans, is 8 lbs. the average wt. for an afghan or heavier???

8 lbs. is probably twice the average weight since this used 2 strands of yarn throughout & it's twice as thick/heavy. I also worked the whole thing in sc so it's got a lot of yarn in it!
