Hello!

 

Would anyone be interested in joining my Starghan Crochet-Along? The pattern is very simple and so easy to make and is perfect for watching tv or movies. The starghans make perfect "stash gifts" for big and small loved ones.

 

The pattern is at the end of my siggy.

As promised, here is my humungo-giganto one for bil...and it's not done yet in that pic.

 

 

I will ask bil to bring it over to his work (hubby & him are co-workers) so I can take a picture of the actual size of the ghan.

I'm interested, but not sure if I can get started right away. I have a few things I have to get made.

I do need to make a baby afghan for friends who are expecting. So I'll try to get going on it.

I love your pattern as the center is closed. I just haven't gotten started on it.

I'm in -- I started one last night in blue Baby Terri. Have enough scrap yarn for a green one as well. I love these. Think they will be for my project linus blanket day in mid-February.

I think we all have soo many projects we are doing and stuff we want to do don't worry about time restraints, as long as we post our progress and not get put into the archives, we should be fine!!

I'm game. This seems to be a great project for my first CAL. I'm probably going to go tomorrow to see if I can pick up some yarn.

Ooo. I actually found some yarn that would look lovely to use. I'm going to use Bernat's Camoflage yarn. The Blue Frost color. I'm modifying the pattern a bit by using an H hook instead of an F, so we'll see how it turns out.

I think I might do one. I have a few new babies in the family and need some neat ideas for them. I'll probably get started next week though so I can get a few little things out of the way first.

It's like a round ripple, but instead of a whole bunch of points, it only has 5. The picture is in my siggy, I posted 3 different ones I made for my babies.

Sure thing! I have already started one for my son, using the Beth's little star blanket pattern, but it's still a 5 point star. I'll try and post a photo later.

:lolOk, I'll join in!! I've never done one before, so you'll might have to help me!! I'm home with bronchitis, possibly even pneumonia, so have time to try it out!! Unless I end up in the hospital tomorrow.

I hope you don't mind, but I used your starghan pattern to make a dishcloth for my mother. I'm making a bunch of dischcloths for her and I'm going to be mailing them out next week. Anyway, I thought it would be cute as a dishcloth...Here is a picture:

 

It's nice and big too! It's 10.5 inches from point to point.

It looks like I'll be making some dishcloth stars in the near future

 

If the stars are made just the frist 2 or 3 rows, they make perfect motifs too!!

When you mentioned how cute it would be as a motif, it made think that this would be really cute if they were joined sort of how the yo-yo scrapghans are. I think that would be adorable! I wonder if it's possible? Hmmmmm????

That's a great idea!! I may toy around with a few squares to see how it would go together.

 

As for the dishcloths, that's a perfect way to get rid of the little bits of cotton yarn I have laying around

Me too!!! Me too!! Crochet ADD I mean. Just look at my WIP's/UFO's Gallery. I think I found 5 more after I posted the pictures and have about 5 more that I just up and abandoned!!
