I made this for my nine year old. It took about 10 days but thats cause my wrist is cracked and still hurts to much to crochet for any length of time.

Thanks everyone. The yarn is from Spotlight. It's called Hockey by Moda Vera. I got it on special just before New Year, for $2.00AU a ball. This took 4.5 balls. So it worked out pretty cheap.

Thanks for the lovely comments. The pattern is from the free pattern Simple Shawl on line ( sorry don't have a link ) and the border is one I just made up.

That shawl is very pretty and the colors are perfect for a young girl. Please rest that wrist, though. I had a problem with mine last summer and it took 3 months for it to heal! You have to stop the crochet for a while or it will take even longer to mend.
