2011 ~ Critter Comfort Project!

Pamper poor pets! Pet bed project! I like to beg for donations to a pet bed project I'm doing!

 

I'm asking for 6" granny squares made from 2 strings of regular worst weight yarn. Any colors will do. I will then piece them together and give them to a local no kill pet shelter. If anyone would like to just go ahead and make a pet snuggle and send that that would be wonderful as well. here is a link with lotz of snuggles patterns to choose from! thank you so much for considering my project. We have far to many homeless pets that need alittle comfort!

I love the Snuggles Project! I'm not able to help you at this time, but I did crochet 14 Snuggle mats in various sizes and shapes and donated them to our local animal shelter just before Christmas. They were easy and fun to make and I was able to use up ALL of my scraps of yarn!

Help Me to help the cold critters! Looking for donations of 6" granny squares, made with double the yarn! the cages are very hard on their poor feet! Let's give them something warm to cuddle up on if we can't give them homes!

What size are these snuggles suppose to be? Do you just want 6 inch squares that are the patterns on that site? I might be able to help a little.

Snuggles should be:

14" x 14" for cats and small animals

24" x 24" for cats and small to medium dogs

36" x 36" for medium to large dogs

 

or

3 x 3 grannies for small

5 x 5 grannies for med.

6 x 6 grannies for large

Do you have a deadline for these or is it an on going thing like the granny's daughters?

Those are all great. Couple of questions. What pattern did you use for the oval mats? I really like those. And the Cat toys, is there a pattern or did you just do a "curly" and put fringe on it?

I love what you've done! I'd love to make a few of those too if there is a pattern available that would be great. those cat toys are awesome! I'm sorry you are unable to help me with my endevor at this time but it is just great that you did help the critters in your own area. I know there are cold, uncomfortable critters everywhere! thank you for sharing!
