My dd (7) has a Christmas program at school next week and I was trying to think of what I could make for her to wear. I brainstormed and thought maybe I could find a really cute tree skirt and make it into a poncho. Is that too corny? I'd like to make a matching hat too.... I just don't know if it's a good idea though. What do you think?

I wouldn't care how corny it sounds, If you found the right tree skirt pattern nobody would even know thats what it was. Its an interesting idea, and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

If she has long hair you could make some Christmas scrunchies to put her hair up, Mabey some Christmassy ankle warmers red with black or green fluff round the bottom. A christmas skirt wouldnt be corny in my oppinion. I would accessorise scarf hat ankle warmers hair scrunchies. depends how long you have to work on them. good luck and let us see what you manage to make xx
