What in the world have I been up to?

 

Why making this Globe Tote!

 

I used a graph of the map of the world and made this with tunisian stitch. Size H cabled circular hook.

I tried to get a shot from all angles so you could see the lands.

 

I used lots of left-over yarns for the colors, and a Red Heart variegated yarn called Ocean for the water. (Yes! Can you believe it??!)

Here's the bottom and the side where I joined the thing after I did the graph.

The top has white shells to represent the Arctic. You cinch it closed and it sort of forms the land. Kinda.There are two straps on either side attached from top to bottom. I trimmed it in a whispy Moda Dea sky-blue yarn to represent clouds.

it is a very uniue bag! using scraps was great but I love that RH Oceab yarn!! very pretty colours and it complements the bag nicely. I think a plain blue would have looked rather dull, but the ocean sure doesnt! the coulds and artic were a very fun idea too!
