inside of mittens

Has anyone brushed the inside of a mitten? I'm thinking about trying this a on paid I made for myself. I tested them outside and they were kind of breezy.

Or how about lining the inside? Anyone have any suggestions so they are not so breezy, mind you I've made about 7 pairs of these for christmas presents. It would make me feel bad if they were breezy for the recipients.

My mother makes mittens with two layers. The inside is a thinner light weight yarn with a smaller hook. Oh yeah, and no cuff. Then she makes the outside with her regular yarn. Then turns the outer inside out and whipstitches them together.

 

I don't know if this helps, but they are WARM.
