WIP Wednesday

Recommended Posts

Well, I've got my sampler afghan. I've got a little over half the squares done.....Then I've made the holey squares shrug, but I need to make it bigger. I used a thinner boucle yarn, so it's a bit small for me. Then, there's the goth doll i started before the summer. Haven't touched it since. I think that's it. I've been making a lot of quick projects that get done in a night or two.

WIP Wednesday!

I have on my hooks Darla from Cool Crochet, and that is all! I finished a comfort pack just yesterday evening, and when I was done with that I worked up a quick gift for my sister and finished that also, so that leaves only Darla! I hope I can have her done by next Wednesday:blush (but I doubt it)

I am finally finishing my first blanket (Beth's Little Star). I am truly amazed how quickly it worked up after I got past the first few rounds. Now if the tails would magically weave themselves in... oh to wish. Pictures to follow later.

This one is right up my alley!

1) Cat Afghan for my best friend for Christmas

2) Poncho out of the "Family Circle Easy Crochet Magazine" it's the one on the cover. I'm making it for me, but since it doesn't have a deadline I'm not working on it as much as the other projects.

3) Snowflake Afghan for my nephew for Christmas

4) Old Glory Afghan that was going to be a Christmas gift but now I've decided to make it for myself!

5) Tweety Bird Afghan (I have the entire afghan made, I just have to finish Cross-Stitching Tweety on the front of it)

My WIP's:

Grey and cream poncho (no pattern just sort of winging it)

bathsets ( soap savers, face cloths and backscrubbers) done

scarves done

comfort packs (making one for myself and one for my friend)

doily ( this thing is giving me more headaches)

That is all for now. Hopefully I will finish all of these soon and then get started on some fingerless gloves for myself.

It's been a while since I've done a WIP Wednesday. Here goes...

Seraphina Shawl ©: 1/4(?) done

Afghan for Hubster ©: Just started

Light and Lacy Shawl ©: still. so. close. It’s a bottom-up shawl, so the rows keep getting longer and longer. I haven’t touched it in a week or so

“Paper Chain†scarves © for SD’s: 7 chain strips made (out of ??)

Mulligan Hat (K): about halfway done

With the exception of the light and lacy shawl, these are all Christmas gifts. Yay me! :cheer

  • 3 weeks later...

A day late, but I was just thinking I need to get organized:

1. A small Teddy Bear that only needs eyes/mouth/nose and ends weaved in. (I'm afraid I'm going to mess this up...)

2. My Flamenco Wrap - but it's too small for me... and I need to attach the edging somehow... wish I'd done that as I went along!

3. A doily I want to make

4. Doilies/bookmarks that need blocking

5. A shrug that I just made a swatch for out of nice cotton yarn.

6. A larger Teddy Bear on the double crochet hooks

7. 2 Afgans on my Knit a Round

8. Socks on my knitting loom that I discovered are too scratchy for me. :(

9. Snowflake ornaments I want to make for Christmas

10. Sherbert Tank Top

11. FCEC caplet and hat
