Hairpin Lace

Recommended Posts

As far as I know, there s only one basic stitch to hairpin lace, single crochet, but you can get a single braid or double braid depending on where you insert your hook in the loops on the pins.

The double braid is the most common. It is when you insert your hook under one strand, going between strands in the loop on the left (for righties anyway ;) ) and complete the single crochet

A single braid is when you insert your hook under both strand of the loop on the left and complete the single crochet.

When joining, I have been slip stitching the pieces together matching loops from each strip and you could give each loop a little twist before joining.
