Patterns for poncho (size 1x), caps, and snowflakes sought

Question

I am looking for a poncho pattern to make for myself. (I never make *anything* for myself, so this is a first!) I would like it to be warm (not a loose mesh design), and preferably in one piece, but more is okay if it's suitable.

The caps I'm looking for are the stretchy head-hugging kind that are so popular with the kids nowadays. I'm hoping to sell some to make some extra money.

The snowflakes I want to make for Christmas presents for my family. Beaded and plain would be wonderful. So far I've only found 2 beaded ones.

Hugs,

Pam

Here is a strechy hat pattern called Mitered Crocheted Hat. It's strechy and as tight fitting as you'd like.

Another favorite pattern to mention for hats is called Easy Double-Crochet Cap.

If you don't mind creating your own pattern from scratch, pick a stitch that you like and use this pattern for the Spiky Poncho as a guide. It's one piece, like you wanted, and depending on the stitch you choose, it's as holey as you like. If two pieces won't bother you too much, then make two rectanges and put them together following the diagram for the Striped Poncho.

There is one using the second method in the Poncho-rama gallery.
