Symbol Crochet Software is Available!

Hey gang!

 

I just found this website: http://www.sbcrochet.com/ and downloaded their Crochet Symbol Font that works with MS Word.

 

It's $4.99 for them to mail you the CD or $3.59 for the font plus the helps you need are available for download as well.

 

It was kinda tricky at first, but once I got the hang of the symbols I was able to recreate a symbol crochet pattern that I had that was kinda blurry. It worked great!!

 

I have been looking for software like this and although I was hoping for a more "formal program" as opposed to "font", this is really great for your designing and "fiddling" needs.

 

Maybe when I get a really fancy picture program I can figure out my own stuff too!

very cool. I have a book that teaches you symbol crochet. But putting on the compter might be better. Thanks for the link!

I've been thinking about all three programs (the sbcrochet one too), but right now I don't have enough computer memory to play with all the stuff I already have :-(

 

I've got quiltpro4, 3 foundation quilting programs, 2 music composing programs, a home design program, Embird embroidery program, and some miscellaneous other programs and demos (click and sew demo, patternmaster demo, new electricquilt demo, another music accomaniment program which is too big to put on the this computer, and some writing software and knitting demos I haven't played with yet). I really need to upgrade from win98 ...

Well, SBCrochet is just a font and won't require that much memory. Just download it and install the font, open Word and have fun!

I loove symbol crochet! Now it's to the point that I really won't attempt any crochet pattern that worded out. Talk about spoiled!

 

eBay is my favorite haunt right now for internation crochet magazines in symbol crochet. So far I have a handful of Russian ones and I love poring through it again and again!
