A Long Crochet Stocking Cap Pattern Pattern

froggy

Question

Does any one know of a long crochet stocking cap pattern? I have found a few on the Internet but they were short so I didn't save them. I had one as a kid and it was down to my waist. Thanks for any help you can be.

If you find a nice stocking cap pattern that you like, you can make that one and just make the cap longer than what the pattern calls for. Start out making the cap, then when you get to the part where you like the diameter of the cap to make longer, just stitch it around and around without increasing or decreasing it....then when you get to your desired length, finish the pattern.

The pattern link you sent me was the one I had seen before and didn't save, I just saved it. You know i am just a kid at heart and really "need" this hat! Maybe I can figure out how to make it longer.

something to think about if you are making the "Cone Hat"

I made it once following the directions. It did not come out long enough. At the bottom of the directions it suggests that for a longer hat you work one row "even" for every increase row.

That is a good idea if you want a hat that folds down.
