Tapanga and nss,

All the yarn is Carons SS. The colors are white, off white, orchid, soft blue, and soft pink. I used two strands throughout to get the effect of the colors running into each. It started out as a baby ghan, but I realized it would be too heavy. So, I stopped where I did. It measures 48" across, and is pretty heavy, so I didn't try to make it any bigger. I really love it - its so soft and pretty!

Thanks for looking and for the comments!

Cheers!:yay

Heart, Post #12 & 13 list the colors, they are all Caron's Simply Soft yarn.

SeaShelly, I got the pattern on this board and it is free, there is a CAL which can direct you to it. Once I got going, I didn't need it anymore as it was the same repetition with each round.

Thanks everyone!

kwools,

I used 2 strands all the time. The sequence I followed is below.

2 strands of white

1 strand white & pink

2 strands of pink

1 strand of pink and off white(which is actually a pale yellow)

2 strands of off white

1 strand of off white and green

2 strands of green

1 strand of green and blue

2 strands of blue

1 strand of blue and orchid

2 strands of orchid

For the edge, I used only 1 strand of white. I just sc around and then did a round of hdc.

It is pretty heavy - thats why I didn't make it any bigger. I wish Caron would make the same range of colors in fingering weight yarn!

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.:hook:yes
