I have thought about making this pattern as well. However, I myself am very into the American/Americana colors. So for me I would leave the colors.

 

This is another one that will have to wait though. In the middle of 2 projects, which have seemed to become UFO's, school, and work - all leads to no spare time.

I made one narrower (more like a scarf width) out of Homespun in a solid barn red (my Mom's fav color). Turned out great.

Ooh...I really can't afford to start another project at the moment...but exams will be done Friday...*sigh* Another project added to my list.

That would look nice in just about any color, looks fairly easy too.
