KristieMN Posted September 25, 2006 Thank you to all who vounteered for testing! o.k..kind of a dorky name...but it describes the idea I have These were inspired by the monkeys I seen at carnivals as prizes. You know, those games that very few people win at.... Please let me know if you are intersted General info: General supplies: Size G Crochet Hook WW yarn Tapestry needle for sewing Fiberfill Medium buttons for eyes (optional) Pipe cleaner/ chenille stem for tail (one for each) Black felt or fleece for tiger Colored felt for tiger-cat nose About 3 inches of Velcro for each animal General terms Sc-dec= single crochet decrease (decrease over 2 stitches) Sc= single crochet FO= finish off Ch= chain Slp stch=slip stitch BLO = Back Loops Only

stormy Posted September 28, 2006 I am working on the cat (wanted to do the tiger but don't have the felt yet) and am almost finished, just need to find my pipe cleaners and velcro (I know they are around her somewhere:think ) and embroider the face, the cat is all put together otherwise and the pattern was very easy to follow! Thanks for letting me test Kristen! I want to do the monkey next.
Kiirs Posted September 28, 2006 If you ever decide you need more testers, please let me know! These are sooo cute!! I am just amazed at your talent. Every pattern you put out I think "it can't possibly get any better than this" but you always prove me wrong.
KristieMN Posted September 28, 2006 I am dying to show this to someone! This is the first time I have done an open mouth animal. Before the eyes and body were on, it looked like a green pac man. I still have quite a bit of work to do on it,...but what do you think so far?

Kiirs Posted September 28, 2006 Oh, so cute!! It looks like he could be adapted into a puppet, too. Oh, the talent!!!!
tiggerhale Posted September 28, 2006 Kristie - the frog is awesome! I've not done an open mouth before (I don't think) but I did start to do one and had read the pattern for it. It wasn't as cute as your frog!! I'm going to do the Tiger - and probably crochet my stripes then sew them on. I'm going to give it to a rather rowdy young man and I want the stripes to stay put. I'll be starting tomorrow - just don't have time today - ugh!
