#30 thread practice and 1st Bruge Lace Motif

I'm trying to get used to using smaller thread. Boy is it challenging for me. I used #30 thread for all of the things below. The pics are click-able.

 

My first bruge lace motif:

I plan to hang it on my tree this year.

My main pet peeve about anything smaller than 10 thread is the way it is mercised. I might be alone, but I find that the tighter the twist the more it seems to stick to my hook and doesn't slide so easily. I end up working really tightly as I feel I am fighting my thread!!

Beautiful, really! Actually, I like to work with .6 hook when using a thread finer than #20, it produces even lacier results.
