Girnormous yarn question!

My partner in crime--cough cough--uh, coworker has a question. She's new to crocheting, and would like to know what would be the largest yarn(meaning weight) out there. For example, is there any yarn larger than LB Wool-Ease Thick and Quick?

She could probably use wool roving but it would be tough to find a hook to handle it. There's also always ribbon that is traditionally used for wrapping gifts and the like.

LB makes a yarn called BIG and big it is. It calls for a Q hook.

Boy, some of those colours would be nice in the Cathedral window. I gotta stop doing that, not all of life revolves around afghan yarn colours, ok, yah, got it ok, yeah, sure, right ..

but they would be nice.

 

BTW, big is not always pleasant to work with.

you could always make your own "yarn" out of plastic bags! you can make your "yarn" almost any size

I love the picture of the yarn skein for the BIG yarn.

 

Hmmm, i would think that that would be the largest. You can always use two or three strands together of something.
