I would love to meet some other crocheters from the area. I do attend a group once a week on Tuesdays at a local community center. I really enjoy it.

I have tried starting a meetup group for this area through meetup.com. So far it has not done very well. Only 3 members.

Would love to hear from other Houstonians.

Hi, :yay I live in West Houston, not too far from Katy. Tell me more about your group. Tuesdays are not good for me because of ladies bible class, but maybe something else could work out. Let me know

Hey there! I live in Pasadena. I have a Houston Yahoo!group ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/houstoncrochet/ ) and we only have 3 or 4 members on that as well, so I understand where you're coming from. :cowgirl

I'll let my posse (pfft, hehe) know about the meet-up link. I'm sure they would be excited to get together and crochet with some locals.

Edit: Okay, I just sent an e-mail with the link to your meet-up site. Hopefully you will get a few more interested. :)

Hey, locals! :D I live in Alvin and attend the Coffee Oasis Crochet & Knit club in Clear Lake - we're mostly knitters but have a few crocheters and always want more.

Coffee Oasis - corner of Clear Lake City Blvd. and El Camino Real

Monday nights from 6:30 - 9:30

Want more details or help finding it, PM me... but that's about all there is to say.

Back in May I posted about the Clear Lake group... they're still going strong, but I haven't been that way since June. A new group was formed in Pearland - which is the one I've frequented since.

Panera's - corner of Highway 288 and FM 518 - Tuesday nights from 7 until they kick us out. Again, mostly knitters... but only because the crocheters haven't sufficently put out word among their sinister contacts. ;)

Hey, that's my area! But there's no way I could get there until about 7:00 or 7:30. I'm at the mercy of the Bay Area Park & Ride schedule. LOL

I used to live across the street from Baybrook Mall. Talk about traffic tie-ups in December! But I'm still in the area.

Hi! I wanted to let you all know that I'm in two Houston area meetup type groups and hope some of you join us sometime. They both meet in Rice Village, at Black Walnut Cafe. One is every 4th Saturday of the month, from 9am-noonish, and the other is every second Saturday, from 10-noonish. The first is a charity group (mostly knitters, but sigh...) and the second is only crocheters, and we're a just for fun group. We're working on doing things for charity, but we're just so small so far. I hope to see some of you there! :)

Victoria

PS

You can click on my signature to see the charity group yahoo page if you're interested. We have birthday drawings every month, as well as drawings among anyone who donated that month. It's a lot of fun!

I live in Matagorda, which is about 80something miles southeast of Houston. Not really all that far by Texas standards, but considering I don't drive, it might as well be a million miles! :lol

I drive through Winnie anytime I go to visit my dad in Georgia...just drove through last Wednesday. I'm thinking of going to the flea market there - is it any good?

I lived in Houston, Addison Road, way back in the 50s as a kid but my sister is now in Katy and loves it. I was wondering ... wouldn't it be fun if when I visit her or my son in Minneapolis I could meet with a local CVille group!

Next time I make travel plans I'll try and remember to ask

Hey! You're the closest person I've come across! I live in Groves. We're only about 30 - 40 minutes away from each other! Too bad there's NOTHING in between where we could meet! :lol
