Anyone from the Pacific North-wet?

Anyone from Portland or Seattle and all points in between? I'm in Centralia (WA) mid-way between the two cities. Would be nice to know there are other crocheters around these parts!

Gosh I wish I still lived there. My family is still there. Brother and sister in law in Tacoma, Sister in Lacey, Parents in Shelton and son in Seabeck.. I might be going out there this summer :) maybe we can meet up for coffee :) ..

I will tell my mom that there is someone on here from there. As she is the one who had taught me to crochet..

Yes! Recently moved to Shelton from northern Virginia. I've been having fun with my crocheting and other crafts since we moved. Love the quilt shop in Centralia. Have you been to the yarn shop in Shelton? Fancy Image Yarns? She has some beautiful things. Glad to hear of other crocheters in the region.

I'm currently in Germany, but we have a home on Vashon Island. I was home on vacation recently and had my cousin over and we had a Crochet Bee...I was teaching them how to crochet and/or how to advance their crochet skills. We had a blast. They live in Port Orchard. I'm the "Possibly Extreme" crocheter of the bunch.

Hello all in the Pacific North-wet... I live outside of McMinnville, Oregon. My boyfriend's brother and his family live in Bellingham, WA (boyfriend grew up there). Boyfriend also has a sister in the Tacoma, WA area and another sister is in Tenino, WA.

I, however, am completely left out. I am far removed from my native warm and humid climate of Augusta, Georgia.

very small :earth indeed.

I'm in Bremerton, WA (i.e., Kitsap County) and a founding member of the brand new Kitsap Fancy Crocheter's Guild. Check us out in our Yahoo group by the same name, or come by and crochet with us from 3-5 pm every Wednesday at Cafe Rivista in Silverdale, Washington. I'm so glad to be here amongst other crocheters!

Hi I am in Seattle and it is so good to see so many Pacific North-wets joining this group. I am enjoying doing lots of crochet and knit works since I retired and now stay at home most of the time. If I go out, it takes away from time to be spent crafting. Oh well, such is the life of a disabled retiree. Good luck to all of you around here and hope to see more posts from all.

that's good news! i can definitely understand about classes. i'm a full time graduate student so i can completely understand. all of the women in the group are either retired or stay at home wives/moms so it's difficult to work out times that work for everybody. i only plan to stay in the area for another few months while i finish my master's degree, then it's off to cali! :clap

Howdy... I'm from the Pacific North Dry... not inside your brackets, but in the same state. I'm in Spokane. Its interesting isn't it how many Washingtonians are here. I wonder why?

I know you started this thread some time ago, but I just found it and it blew my socks off! I grew up in Centralia and am about 3 years older than you so depending on how long you've lived there we may have crossed paths. I left in 1987 to join the Air Force, but I still call Centralia home. The last place we lived was on E street, I think. Anyway, lovely to hear of someone else from home, even tho I'm so far away in Germany now, tho not in the AF anymore. Be cool, KrisR
