laundering your woolies

Recommended Posts

woman's world September 12, 2006 ( 1 ) most knits (crochet ) can be washed by hand in cold water, using a mild detergent, then rinsing in cold water to remove soap residue. Add a little salt in the wash water to prevent the color from running ( 2 ) do not wring out a wet sweater...instead, roll it up in a towel and gently push on the towel to remove excess water. Lay sweater flat to dry. (3 ) believe it or not sweaters made of plush fibers, like mohair and angora can be put in the freezer for twenty minutes ( either dry or damp) to help restore fluffiness.:manyheart It was the last helpful hint ....never heard of that one before and thought I should share ) :)
