any crochet groups in Queens/LI area

Just wondering if there was anybody that does or would like to meet up in the Queens/LI area. I live in Glendale and would love to meet other crocheters without having to travel into Manhattan (not that I have anything against Manhattan - I just hate taking the train home at night!)

Ooooh, i haven't been in this forum for a while!!

 

I'm in Briarwood, 4 blocks north of the LIRR.

 

On Sundays, I crochet with my sis (she knits, i crochet) and we have a ball.

 

Since i'm in school, i can probably do a once a month meetup. Another person here is in queens, too, not sure of others.
