Question About Graph-Ghans

Ok, I think I would like to tackle one of these, but I don't want to make a full afghan size, but more like a lapghan size. I see there a free sites on the internet to make your pattern, but they are for HUGE afghans.

 

Any suggestions on where I could graph a smaller afghan?

How big?

 

Knit-Pro ( http://www.microrevolt.org/knitPro/ ) is where most of us go, and they produce patterns in three different sizes...48 X 64 stitches, 96 X 120 stitches and 120 X 160 stitches. YMMV, but even with a K hook (which is what I usually use for graphghans), 48 X 64 is too small for a true graphghan, and 96 X 120 would only make a good baby afghan.
