Crochet Room?

Recommended Posts

i have a "craft" room. dining room table to work on, book shelves to house all my books and patterns, drawers with wool and threads, more book shelves with my scrapbooking stash, tons of plastic containers (like at take away/chinese food shops which i got at a wholesaler so cheap, and they're fab cos they stack nicely) with buttons and small items, plastic tubs for fabric and sewing patterns. you can barely move in there and it's a big room

My house has three small bedrooms and NO CLOSETS!! One room is for crocheting stuff and the other is an "office."I was able to purchase a bunch of those collapsable and stackable crates from the Christmas Tree Shops to use for all my yarn stash. It's pretty cool...I can see at a glance what I have and just pull out what I need. Of course if I could complete a gazillion WIPs I'd have even more room. :lol

Both of my girls are married and gone. One of the bedrooms is a guest room and one is a computer and craft room. The closet(minus doors) is filled with the slide out plastic drawers for Patterns, doodads etc and some yarn. About half of the side attic is for my 12 bins of yarn/thread. I recently redid them and cataloged what I had and numbered the bins. Now I know what I have when I want to make something and cross it off the yarn list and visa versa for adding new yarn. :) Have 2 large beadspread plastic bags with partial skeins. I crochet in the living room in "my chair".

All my pattern books are still waiting to be organized!:eek

My spare bedroom is my craft room. I have shelves along the ceiling with clear 'shoeboxes' to hold small things, thread, notions, hooks. Then totes piled with fabric, yarn, etc. I mark the totes with masking tape & a marker so I know whats inside without opening each one. I dont sit in there to crochet. I either do that at work in my spare time or while watching tv.

I used to have my own craft/crochet room as you can see by the pictures below. But my daughter moved back in and now it's her room again and partly my craft/crochet room. We are in the process of converting it back to her room but it's taking me a while as I have no idea what to do with all my craft/crochet supplies. As you can see by the pictures, there is tons of it!!

And that's just the bulk of it, there's more in the room off my kitchen, my bedroom, living room, family room, etc.... how I wish I had my own room again!!
