Men's Bathrobe??

tlisley

Question

Well I have been looking and can't seem to find a pattern for any ADULT sized bathrobe, much less one for a man! :irk My husband actually asked me to crochet him one for Christmas (WOW!! HE ASKED!! I am such a gift giver and he is IMPOSSIBLE to shop for!! Every Christmas for the last 7 years has been such a disappointment for me because I never know what to do for him... SO you can hopefully understand why I HAVE TO find a pattern...lol) :hug but I don't see how with no pattern. It does not have to be free or anything, just adult sized, hopefully not frilly...lol.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I have only seen bathrobes for kids, maybe you could try making something with a simple stitch. does he own a bathrobe now? maybe you could look at that for the shape and go from there.

If you sew, you could get some terry fabric and sew on up.....it would be easier than trying to crochet one and finding a pattern to work. I wish you the best in finding what you wish for.

I have seen a couple for women in older magazines but none for men that I can think of.

Rather than try to enlarge a child size one, what I would do is find a cardigan type pattern I like and use that, making it longer.

Something like this might work. Leave off the edging and add a belt to tie. Hood or no hood. It comes in XXL so that's good.

This has a vest, add length and sleeves and it might work:

Another that might work:

You can even add pockets if he wants them.

You can come up with something, I'm sure. :)

Thanks for the idea. You think this might work? Obviously the collar would have to go...lol... but I think it might work. Maybe a solid color?

or even this possibly...

I guess I'm thinking about the loose sleeves, it seems more "bathrobish"...lol.

This might work

Please tell me what you think. I need to get started right away. LOL

Thanks!!
