"Off to Fifth Grade" Dress

Did you ever have a project that just would not work out the way you planned?

 

This one became my nemesis. The green color is very appropriate because it was frogged so many times! But now it's done and my daughter loves it, contrary to the expression on her face in the first picture! The yarn is Caron Simply Soft Brites (2 skeins), size G hook. Thanks for looking!

It turned out great! The fabric is pretty and goes so well with that yarn. She's a cutie. I know first hand how some pictures of them don't show their love for a project. My daughter still thanks me for things I made a year or two or three ago. lol

I like that sweater. I also have a daughter going in to 5th grade, and am having a heck of a time finding anything that would be really stylish enough for her, unless I resize some of the adult patterns I find.
