Change in stitch?

Good day Crocheters! I have a question

 

Have you ever had a pattern change because of the way you used it?

 

Example: Below is a single crochet scarf that i made for my hubby. I used to tie it and wrap it and do all sorts of things to make sure he was warm and comfy. :cloud9

 

Doing so created an interesting change in my stitch....

 

Have you had anything change in appearance because of a wash, wear, use, or something else?

 

I've had people say it looks like a knitted stitch! hee hee
