How large do you make a Round Ripple afghan for a baby?

For those of you who make these lovely afghans, how many inches across would you make one for an infant? I am thinking that I would make it until I ran out of peach yarn, which is usually my standard ending procedure.

 

Maybe 50 inches across? I want it large enough to wrap up baby in the winter.

I'm working on my first round ripple (first project period) and I had planned on making it about 40-50 inches across, seems like a decent size that I would be able to wrap peanut in when it gets cold. Hope that helps alittle perhaps we'll get an answer from some with a little more experience too =o)

The ones I have made before have been approx 48" in dia. I like to make them big enough to wrap the babe up in and also big enough to put down on the floor for the baby to play.
