A Neat Scarf Idea!

I just thought I would share a neat scarf idea. Last year for some gifts I needed I crocheted one strip of a MAM afghan and used them for winter scarves. There are tons of them out there! You should have heard all the compliments......

That is a great idea--in fact, I thought of it myself last night, when I was searching for a pattern to use for the scarf swap. I decided against it, but maybe I will frog what I chose.... <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/huh.gif" /> I thought maybe it would be too skinny ??? Although that is the style now....

Awhile ago I started an afghan and at two strips, decided it looked like a very fashionable scarf. I haven't been able to make more yet, but when I do I"ll have them on my site.

THese scarfs work up really fast. I did one last year and made a hat to match as a gift for a friend. It turned out pretty nicely I think.

What a terrific idea!!! :thinking1 I've got a MAM pattern book with some interesting variations of the traditional MAM afghans... oh dear.... here I go again... avoiding those 63 Squares!

 

by the way - it took me a minute or two to figure out that MAM = Mile A Minute! I thought I'd mention THAT - just in case anyone else was having a hard time figuring it out. )

Them colors turned out a little bad from the lighting and the digicam...they would be olive and cream.

What a great idea for a scarf, though. I have never done a mile a minute anything, so a scarf would probably be a good place to start.
