Christmas Fair

I found out last night that I'll be selling some items on consignment at a local church Christmas fair in just two weeks. YAY!! I brought in one of my snowmen to Curves for them to display. But the day I brought it in, the woman who is chairing the knitting table at the fair was there. She saw it, snuck one of my cards into her purse and later emailed me. I'm going to make a bunch of snowmen, a couple of ponchos, some scrunchies and cat toys and a few scarves. But I only have two weeks!! What's great is that I know the people at this church from my old job. I get to make money for myself, raise money for the church (part of the price of each item I sell goes to the church) and see some folks I haven't seen in a few months. All around, a great deal!!! And a friend ordered a poncho (which I am making now) and she is insisting on paying for it. My first order! YIPPEE!!!!

Thank you, everyone!!! I am so excited! I hope to finish my friend's poncho tonight (so I can give it to her on Tuesday) and then let the crocheting begin for the fair. I already have a few snowpeople made and will make more, as well as some scarves. I'm saving my easiest and quickest patterns for last (scrunchies and cat toys) know I can pop those out in a half-hour at most. I'll definitely report back to let everyone know how it goes!!!!

do you have a 'scrapbook' of things you have made? maybe you can make a sign that says you "customize" - maybe you can get some Christmas orders in that way :ideanot
