Does this need a smaller handle?

I made this bag last week and i love it, but i think the handles look too wide

 

 

My boyfriend said they look fine in typical not caring about handbag style... So id like opinions from people who do like handbags lol.

 

Really the question is - should i get smaller handles or should i just make the top handle part wider or should i just lower the handles??

I actually think the combination looks fine. I don't think the handles are too wide at all.

I think the handles fit the bag perfectly. If the bag wasn't as wide as it is, then I'd go with smaller handles.

you should paint the handles with splashes of yellow, then it'd be perfect!

I like it, I think it looks fantastic. I'd paint a couple daisy's on handle to dress it up

I think the size of the handles are fine. Maybe if you crocheted around them with yellow yarn, they wouldn't stand out so much.

I think it looks fine. But the painting of flowers on the handles would be a nice compromise if you are still unsure.

What if you just went a little wider on the part where they attach to the bag? That might make it even more appealing to the eye. If it were me, I would keep it like it is!

I think the size in this case really doesn't matter. (hee hee) But maybe it would look right to you if you replaced them with light wood handles or clear plastic ones.

Im liking the idea of crocheting around the whole handle. ALthough id buy some cheaper ones becaus the amber effect ones were a little more expensive. Im still undecided. Il have a play around and see.

 

I will be lining this one but i havent yet as it may yet change size.

I like them but if you feel you just have to change them, try for clear.
